Clinical Lead - Leicester

 

Location: Leicester,  LE9

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Lead to join our clients team within a well-established Nursing home based in Leicester. Leading a strong team of nurses to ensure high standards of care are delivered across the home you will possess excellent sector and legislative knowledge.

Key responsibilities 
• Lead the nursing team and ensure all members of the team are kept up to date with legislative changes, current practices and research developments
• Assist the Registered Manager to efficiently manage all aspects of the team and provide sound leadership to ensure staff are clear about their respective duties and responsibilities and have the support they need to carry out their roles safely
• Ensure care meets, and indeed exceeds, the requirements of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010 and the Care Quality Commission guidance ‘Essential Standards of Quality & Safety’
• Establish effective working relationships with other professionals, agencies, CQC inspectors and all the agency’s stakeholders, including local service commissioners.
• Develop and regularly review Care Plans to ensure client’s ever-changing needs are met with dignity and respect
• Ensure all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines are met
• Take an active role in personal development individually and within the wider team

The ideal Clinical Lead
• NMC registered Nurse
• Good understanding of the regulatory responsibilities of a Clinical Lead and the law relating to care services
• Must have minimum of 2 years experience within Elderly Care
• Experience of improving CQC ratings, working towards outstanding
• Must be able to demonstrate values and a commitment to leading and supporting a diverse team of staff
• Knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to homecare services and risk management
• High level of literacy, numeracy and administrative skills
• QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
• Effective communication skills. Experience of building positive working relationships with clients, their families, staff and other health and social care professionals
• Administrative skills and computer literacy with strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience of managing and developing an effective staff team including recruitment, training, supporting and supervising staff
• Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service
• NMC PIN

Benefits: 28 days holidays

Salary:  £38,000
